How it works
The idea behind sagzu
For certain activities, you always ask the same people. For movies: Anna and Tom. For hiking: Max and Lisa. For the opera: nobody, because you don't know who might be interested.
But maybe other friends would love to join – you just never asked them for this particular activity.
Why don't we just ask more broadly? Because directly asking someone outside the "usual suspects" feels strange: "Why is he asking me to the opera? We never go to the opera together."
The solution: Share instead of ask
With sagzu, you create an activity and share the link – for example in your WhatsApp status or Instagram story. Whoever is interested signs up themselves.
The key difference:
- No one is asked directly – so no one has to decline
- No one is "not invited" – everyone with the link has the same chance
- No pressure – whoever doesn't react simply "didn't see it"
Why share via status?
The status (WhatsApp, Instagram Story) is the ideal channel:
Status
- Reaches your entire friend circle
- No pressure – no response expected
- Self-selection by those interested
Direct message
- Only the "usual suspects"
- Response expected
- You decide who is "allowed" to come
Tip: Check beforehand who can see your status (WhatsApp: Status privacy settings, Instagram: Close friends list).
